Jang Wonyoung Strikes Again, Bringing Lucky Vicky Energy to IVE’s New Album

Jang Wonyoung of IVE has transformed into a lyricist, contributing to the group’s highly anticipated third mini-album, IVE EMPATHY, unveiled at a press conference on February 3 at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido.

Following their last release IVE SWITCH nine months ago, the new album features six tracks, including double title tracks Rebel Heart and ATTITUDE, as well as Flu, You Wanna Cry, Thank U, and TKO.

The title track ATTITUDE explores the theme of embracing unchangeable situations with a positive mindset, emphasizing that the only thing you can change is your attitude. Filled with IVE’s signature confidence, the song also showcases Jang Wonyoung’s lyrical input, adding authenticity to the track.

Speaking about her role as a lyricist, Jang shared, “I wanted to convey the importance of accepting life’s challenges with a playful spirit. After the overwhelming love for Lucky Vicky, I brought that same mindset to this song. I hope fans will love it just as much.”

She further revealed, “This isn’t my first time writing lyrics. I’ve been working on tracks in previous albums, and since both fans and the company responded positively, I was encouraged to try my hand at a title track. When I heard ATTITUDE, I knew it was the one I wanted to write for.”

IVE EMPATHY will be available across online and offline platforms starting at 6 PM KST on February 3. Fans are eagerly awaiting another hit that showcases Jang Wonyoung’s versatility as both a performer and a lyricist.
