Blitzway Studio Sees Trading Surge as Ju Ji-hoon’s Stake Rises to an Estimated 4 Billion Won

The global success of the Netflix series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is shining a spotlight on lead actor Ju Ji-hoon and his agency Blitzway Studio, where he is a key shareholder.

On February 1, the Korea Exchange reported that Blitzway’s stock surged by 25% early on January 31, reaching ₩2,000 per share before closing at ₩1,612. The day saw a trading volume of 409,377 shares—over 20 times the previous day’s activity, reflecting heightened investor interest.

Blitzway, an entertainment company representing stars like Ju Ji-hoon, Chun Woo-hee, Jung Ryeo-won, Go Doo-shim, Rain, Kim Min-sun, Park Ha-sun, and So Yi-hyun, is benefiting from Ju Ji-hoon’s recent success. His role in The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is believed to be a driving factor behind the stock’s surge. This echoes a similar boost in late 2023, when the success of Love on a Rope Bridge, another series starring Ju and produced by Blitzway’s subsidiary Blitzway Productions, caused a significant spike in its stock price.

According to FlixPatrol, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call overtook Squid Game to rank second globally in the TV category as of January 29. After its January 24 release, it dominated the top spot on Netflix Korea for six consecutive days.

The series has also found massive success globally, ranking No. 1 in 19 countries, including Bangladesh, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Qatar, El Salvador, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Venezuela.

Its cultural impact is equally significant. In Good Data Corporation’s TV-OTT drama buzz rankings for the fourth week of January 2025, the show ranked third. Lead actor Ju Ji-hoon placed seventh, and co-star Chu Young-woo secured the eighth spot.

Adding to the anticipation, the original web novel’s author hinted at the possibility of future seasons. Writer Lee Nak-jun revealed, “Season 2 is likely. The drama was developed with Season 2 and 3 in mind. I’ve already received scripts for the first three episodes of Season 2.”

Ju Ji-hoon’s stake in Blitzway is also drawing investor attention. As of Q3 2023, Ju Ji-hoon (real name Ju Young-hoon) held a 5.73% stake in the company. His earlier investment of ₩400 million in H& Entertainment during its 2020 founding yielded over ₩5 billion in returns after its merger with Blitzway. Based on Blitzway’s current market capitalization of ₩80.4 billion, Ju’s stake is now valued at approximately ₩4.6 billion.

As The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call continues its winning streak, both Blitzway’s stock performance and Ju Ji-hoon’s rising equity value remain topics of keen interest.
