On January 24, Ha Jung-woo sat down for an interview in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to discuss his latest film 'Broken' (directed by Kim Jin-hwang). During the conversation, Ha Jung-woo once again expressed his desire to collaborate with Kim Nam-gil in a Boys’ Love (BL) or queer movie—a topic he previously mentioned on SBS’s Movie World.
Reported by News1 and other various media outlets, When asked about his choice of genre, Ha Jung-woo initially laughed it off with a “No comment,” but later admitted, “It’s a possibility,” drawing laughter from the room. Adding a lighthearted touch, Ha compared Kim Nam-gil to Jennifer Lopez and himself to Beyoncé, saying, “Nam-gil is like J.Lo, and I’m more of a Beyoncé type.”
'Broken' is a gritty crime thriller that has become one of the most anticipated Korean films of the year. Directed by rising star Kim Jin-hwang, whose debut work The Shepherds made waves, the film also marks a collaboration with Ha Jung-woo, known for his powerful performances in 'The Chaser' and 'The Yellow Sea'.
