Appearing on YouTube channel Studio Chika Chika's content series Imposter Queen Lee Soo-ji on January 23, the two stars—co-stars of Coupang Play’s upcoming series Newtopia—shared behind-the-scenes stories that left everyone intrigued.

During the episode, Park and Jisoo confessed they visited Lotte World, one of Korea’s busiest amusement parks, together during filming. Their playful chemistry on-screen as a couple carried over to this unexpected outing, but it wasn’t quite what it seemed.

The story began when Newtopia's director asked the two actors to take a photo for a prop as an on-screen couple. “Can’t you two just meet up and take a photo?” the director suggested. Despite being global stars and the obvious challenges of going out in public, both agreed without hesitation.

Jisoo, known for her energetic personality, took the lead during their outing. “Let’s take a picture by the squirrel!” she enthusiastically suggested, surprising host Lee Soo-ji. However, Park Jung-min admitted he was more concerned about Jisoo being recognized in the crowd. “So I was like, ‘Let’s take pictures where there’s no one around!’” he shared, showing his protective side.

Jisoo laughed, adding, “What kind of couple hides their faces like this to take a photo?” Despite the awkwardness, they both look back on the experience fondly as a unique memory.

The duo’s strong bond during filming has already sparked anticipation for their on-screen chemistry in Newtopia. Fans are eager to see how their real-life camaraderie translates into the dynamic and emotional relationship of their characters.
