The upcoming series, For Eagle Brothers, is set in the historic Doksoori Brewery and follows the dramatic, life-changing stories of five brothers as they navigate love, family, and personal struggles.

Marking his return to KBS weekend dramas after 10 years, Ahn Jae-wook expressed his excitement at a recent press conference. “It’s been a decade since Five Enough, and I’m grateful for the writer’s persistent efforts to cast me,” he shared. Ahn plays Han Dong-seok, a privileged hotel chairman who develops a bittersweet romance with Ma Gwang-sook, portrayed by Uhm Ji-won.

Uhm Ji-won takes on the role of a resilient woman who loses her husband just ten days after their marriage and finds herself managing the family brewery alongside her four brothers-in-law.

The drama also features a diverse ensemble cast with Maximum Choi as a former stockbroker-turned-downtrodden boarding house tenant, Kim Dong-wan as a dance instructor, Yoon Park as a single dad and university professor, and Lee Seok-ki as a tough yet soft-hearted UDT lieutenant.

Director Choi Sang-yeol described the series as a mix of heartwarming romance and comedy, drawing inspiration from the film Love Actually. With multiple love stories to follow, including Ahn Jae-wook’s sweet romance with Uhm Ji-won and Choi Dae-chul rekindling his first love with Park Hyo-joo, the show promises a wide appeal.

Although KBS weekend dramas have struggled with declining ratings recently, the production team remains optimistic. Director Choi added, “Even if one or two couples don’t work out, we’ve got others to balance it out—it’s like diversifying investments!”

The drama is set to premiere on February 1, with many hoping it will revive the glory days of KBS weekend dramas. Will For Eagle Brothers be the game-changer? Viewers are eagerly waiting to find out.
