Joy, a member of Red Velvet, has chosen to renew her contract with SM Entertainment.

On January 14 KST, SM Entertainment announced the news, stating, “We’re delighted to continue this beautiful journey with Joy, following Seulgi and Irene.” The company also emphasized its commitment to supporting Joy’s limitless potential as both a solo artist and an actress under her real name, Park Soo-young.

Through her agency, Joy expressed her gratitude: “After 10 years of trust and shared beliefs, I’ve had deep conversations with those I’ve worked with, and I realized I want to continue moving forward with them in a positive direction. I’ll do my best to show fans various sides of myself through positive synergy with SM.”

Debuting in August 2014 with the song “Happiness,” Red Velvet has delivered numerous hits such as “Ice Cream Cake,” “Red Flavor,” “Feel My Rhythm,” and “Cosmic.” The group successfully wrapped up their 10th-anniversary Asia fan meeting tour last September.
