A Heartfelt Romance and Coming-of-Age Tale of Youth Chasing Their Dreams

Kim Da-mi is making her much-anticipated return to JTBC in the upcoming historical drama A Hundred Memories.

According to JTBC’s announcement on the 9th, A Hundred Memories is set in the 1980s and tells the story of vibrant bus conductors navigating their youth, first loves, and dreams. The drama intertwines elements of romance, growth, humanity, and comedy, centering on the lives of three young people connected by Bus No. 100. Written by Yang Hee-seung and directed by Kim Sang-ho, the series is already generating significant buzz.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Korea, the show captures the era’s emotions and struggles. Kim Da-mi stars as Go Young-rae, a young woman who dreams of attending college while working as a bus conductor to support her family. Despite battling motion sickness, she perseveres, showcasing resilience and determination. Shin Ye-eun plays her lively and spirited best friend, Seo Jong-hee, adding warmth and camaraderie to the narrative.

Rising actor Heo Nam-jun takes on the role of Han Jae-pil, the son of a department store owner who hides a complex inner world shaped by personal pain. The intricate emotions and relationships between these characters, paired with the drama’s historical backdrop, promise an immersive viewing experience.

Kim Da-mi’s return to JTBC comes five years after her standout role in Itaewon Class, which recorded a 16.548% nationwide viewership rating and ranked fifth among JTBC’s most-watched dramas. Her performance in Itaewon Class was widely praised for its originality and depth, raising expectations for A Hundred Memories.

The production team commented, “Even as times change, the struggles and dreams of youth shine brightly. This is a drama that will make you laugh, cry, and reflect.” Beyond a simple love story, the series aims to portray the challenges and hopes of young people during a turbulent era.

A Hundred Memories is slated to air in the second half of this year. Fans are eager to see if it will once again rewrite JTBC’s drama rankings.
