According to Good Data Corporation, a Research Index examining K-content's 'online buzz-worthiness', results for the TV-OTT drama popularity rankings for the first week of January reveal actor Yoo Yeon-seok has claimed the top spot in cast popularity.

Yoo Yeon-seok, who stars in the Netflix drama When the Phone Rings, has held the number one position for three consecutive weeks and topped the rankings four times during the show's run. Fellow cast member Chae Soo-bin secured fifth place in the cast popularity rankings.

In the drama popularity rankings, Netflix’s Squid Game Season 2 maintained its first-place position for the second week in a row. Among the cast of Squid Game 2, Lee Jung-jae ranked third, while Lee Byung-hun took the tenth spot.

The JTBC drama The Tale of Lady Ok claimed third place, with its buzz increasing by 33.8% compared to the previous week. Cast members Lim Ji-yeon and Choo Young-woo ranked second and fourth in cast popularity, respectively.

SBS’s new drama Love Scout and tvN’s When The Stars Gossip ranked fourth and fifth in drama popularity. Positions six through ten were occupied by Channel A’s Check-in Hanyang, KBS2’s Miss Granny, The Iron Family, Cinderella Game, and Disney+’s Light Shop, respectively.

Noteworthy names in the cast rankings included Lee Jun-hyuk and Han Ji-min of Love Scout, who placed sixth and seventh, and Lee Min-ho of When The Stars Gossip, who ranked ninth.
