On January 7, her agency, AM Entertainment, announced that Shin had donated 300 million KRW (approximately $206,000 USD) to organizations she has supported annually, including the Hallym Burn Foundation and Asan Medical Center. Known for her quiet generosity, Shin has consistently supported vulnerable groups, from children to the elderly, with the hope of improving their health and well-being.

Since 2015, Shin has been particularly dedicated to helping burn patients, whose stories moved her deeply. Burn victims often face staggering medical expenses and insufficient access to treatment. Over the past decade, Shin has donated 1 billion KRW (approximately $688,000 USD) to the Hallym Burn Foundation, aiding 201 burn victims in total, including 18 women and children in 2024 alone, by covering their medical treatments and surgeries.

Beyond her support for burn victims, Shin has extended her generosity to a wide range of causes, including funding study room teachers for underprivileged children, providing heating assistance to elderly individuals living alone, and supporting North Korean defectors and their children. She has also consistently stepped up during times of national crises, such as COVID-19, wildfires, and flood damage, and even participated in international aid initiatives.

Her total donations now exceed 4 billion KRW (approximately $2.75M USD). In recognition of her remarkable contributions, Shin was honored with the Good People Artist Award at the 14th Beautiful Artist Awards last year. During her acceptance speech, she expressed her commitment to using the prize money to help those in need and even donated it to her alma mater, Dongguk University, to support theater students.
