On January 7 KST, Sports Chosun reported, citing entertainment industry sources, that Jo Yu-ri will take on the main role in ‘Variety,’ a thriller highlighting the idol industry. The new project is directed by Kim Yong-hoon, known for his work on Netflix’s ‘Mask Girl.’ The series is currently in the casting phase. Speculation had been circulating that the lead cast would include current idol group members.
