On December 30, all five members shared photos on the 'jeanzforfree' Instagram account, which operates independently of their official ADOR activities. Each photo featured the members dressed in white, adorned with a black flower symbol. They captioned the posts with "In Sincere Condolences," honoring the victims.

The same day, NewJeans performed 'Supernatural' at the 66th Shine Japan Record Awards and will perform at the Countdown Japan 24/25 festival at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall on 31st. Even during the live performance, the members wore the symbolic black flowers on their outfits, moving audiences with their quiet tribute.

NewJeans' decision to continue their schedule received mixed reactions. While many K-pop groups postponed or canceled their activities in the wake of the tragedy, NewJeans chose to move forward. In response, ADOR issued an official statement, acknowledging the sensitivity of the situation.

ADOR released a statement explaining the continuation of the events: "We had to proceed with the schedules after carefully considering the impact on the organizers. We feel heavy-hearted to conduct activities at this time. We kindly ask for fans’ understanding. We offer our deepest condolences to the victims of this tragic plane crash and extend our sincere sympathies to their families in mourning."

This comes amidst ongoing legal disputes between ADOR and the members of NewJeans. On November 29, NewJeans announced their intention to terminate their contract with ADOR, a move the agency is contesting.

The plane crash occurred on December 29 at 9:03 AM(KST), when Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, traveling from Bangkok to Muan International Airport, attempted an emergency belly landing due to a landing gear malfunction. The aircraft collided with a concrete embankment at the end of the runway, resulting in the deaths of 179 out of 181 passengers on board.
