WINNER’s Song Min-ho (MINO) Controversy Continues… Spotted Partying Topless Amid Inadequate Military Service Issue

Amidst the controversy over poor or inadequate military service, there were claims that Song Min-ho, or better known by his stage name MINO, of the group WINNER had skipped some work due to social anxiety. Reports emerged that he had been hanging out with people in Gangwon-do last year.

This evidence contradicts the claim that he had difficulty serving due to social anxiety disorder or some form of social phobia.

According to Dispatch, on the 27th, Song Min-ho traveled around Goseong and Yangyang in Gangwon Province last year and enjoyed camping and attending large parties, evidenced by several photos.

In the photos of the reported article, Song Min-ho is allegedly seen attending a party with his long hair and shirt off, during the period he was designated to serve as a social service worker. These photos are said to provide strong sources of evidence, as the individual identified had tattoos on his left shoulder indicating 'correct posture' and his right shoulder indicating 'clear mind'—the same tattoos as Song Min-ho's. In August 2023, he was working at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation’s Parking Business team.

An attendee of the party testified to the media that Song Min-ho did not show signs of social phobia or panic disorder.

Dispatch also claimed that Song Min-ho was running with his running crew before his discharge, and claimed that Song Min-ho was suffering from 'selective’ social phobia.

He then reported to the media, "I ran a group marathon with Song Min-ho," and "recently challenged himself to finish a 20km race. He has also lost a lot of weight."

Regarding the previous allegations of poor military service, Song Min-ho's agency YG Entertainment stated, "It is difficult to confirm any details related to the artist’s military service," adding, "However, we would like to inform you that the reason for his sick leave was an extension of the treatment he had received before his service, and all other vacations were used according to the regulations."

Afterwards, on the 23rd, the Military Manpower Administration received an investigation request from Mapo Police Station regarding the allegations of poor service by Song Min-ho. The police have filed a case against Song Min-ho, and an official investigation will be conducted in the near future.

The Military Manpower Administration's position is that if Song Min-ho's poor commitment and inadequacy toward his service are confirmed through a police investigation, he will have to serve again for a given period even after his discharge.
