The ‘OG’ Top Idol Group Makes a Legendary Comeback to ‘Gayo Daejeon’ After a Decade
A legendary idol group shocked everyone by taking the stage as a full group for the first time in a decade at SBS’s ‘Gayo Daejeon.’
On December 25, 2NE1 made a surprise appearance at the ‘2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon,’ held at Inspire Arena in Incheon’s Yeongjong Island. Fresh off their recent successful full-group concert, 2NE1 proved their enduring status by owning the ‘Gayo Daejeon’ stage after 10 years.
Opening their set with the iconic hit ‘FIRE,’ the group ignited a wave of explosive reactions from the crowd. Fans in the audience sang along and cheered relentlessly, as 2NE1 continued to raise the energy with performances of ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘UGLY.’
The highlight came during their finale performance of ‘I Am the Best.’ The entire audience chanted the lyrics “Naega jeil jal naga” in unison, solidifying the legendary girl group’s undeniable impact.
Each member’s unique charisma also captured attention. Sandara Park stunned with her bold updo hairstyle, while CL’s outfit, featuring lip-shaped cushioning, radiated her signature powerful vibe. Park Bom showcased her stable live vocals, and Minzy delivered flawless choreography with her signature fluid movements, completing the electrifying performance.
The ‘2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon’ also featured 29 acts representing K-pop’s finest, including G-Dragon, Key, NCT 127, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, ITZY, Tomorrow X Together, aespa, ENHYPEN, IVE, and NewJeans. Rising rookie groups like BABYMONSTER, TWS, ILLIT, and izna also left a lasting impression, adding fresh energy to the grand year-end celebration.
