The Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) has released its 2024 survey results on the most preferred advertising models by generation and the most loved actors of the year.

◆ Teenagers: The Fresh and Youthful NewJeans

According to the survey results announced on December 18, the most favored advertising model among teenagers is the girl group NewJeans.

Consisting of Hyein, Hanni, Danielle, Minji, and Haerin, NewJeans made a meteoric debut in 2022 with hits like 'Attention' and 'Hype Boy.'

Their dreamy yet youthful image has resonated widely across all demographics. With every release achieving global success, the group has solidified its status as one of South Korea's leading girl groups just two years after debuting.

◆ 20s, 30s, and 50s: The Timeless Popularity of Yoo Jae-suk

In the 20s, 30s, and 50s age groups, Yoo Jae-suk was named the most preferred advertising model.

◆ 60s: World-Class Athlete Son Heung-min

In the 60s demographic, soccer star Son Heung-min was selected as the most favored advertising model.

A world-renowned athlete currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Son Heung-min holds numerous titles, including being the first Korean and Asian player to achieve several milestones. His popularity spans across all age groups, both in South Korea and internationally.

Following Kim Soo-hyun were Byeon Woo-seok, Han Suk-kyu, Kim Nam-gil, and Jung Hae-in. Following Kim Ji-won were Kim Tae-ri, Park Shin-hye, Jang Nara, and Kim Hye-yoon.

The survey results are expected to serve as valuable insights for advertisers and content creators to understand generational consumer preferences. Moving forward, advertising model selections and program planning that reflect diverse generational demands are likely to gain even more attention.
