“Not NewJeans, but Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein“ Unite with Min Hee-jin in this Game-Changing Project—Here’s the Catch!

The members of NewJeans have teamed up with Min Hee-jin to unveil a striking new photoshoot. On December 18, Vogue Korea announced through its official Instagram account, “A 52-page pictorial featuring Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, beginning with handwritten notes from each member, is on its way to you.”

The released images showcase the NewJeans members in elegant hanbok, presenting a graceful and traditional aesthetic. Notably, the group name “NewJeans” is absent from the photos, with only the individual names of the five members written in English. This choice appears to reflect the ongoing legal dispute between NewJeans and their former agency, ADOR.

According to Vogue Korea, Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of ADOR, participated in the project as the "special creative director." The photos also include the caption “Directed by Min Hee-jin” at the bottom, highlighting her involvement.

Last month, on November 29, NewJeans held an emergency press conference announcing the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR. Since then, the group has been operating independently, although they have committed to fulfilling pre-existing agreements made through ADOR. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract. Currently, NewJeans members are actively engaging with fans through their newly created Instagram account, '@jeanzforfree.'
