On December 17th, during MBC FM4U's “A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon,” Lee Sang-soon enthusiastically introduced Jasan Park in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, to his listeners. In the show’s opening, Lee Sang-soon shared details about Jasan Park, located at the entrance to Odongdo Island in Sujeong-dong, Yeosu.
“When people think of Yeosu, its night sea usually comes to mind first. But there’s also Jasan Park,” he said. “It’s the oldest park in Yeosu and famous for its sunrise, where the mountain peaks turn a beautiful purple hue as the sun rises.”
He added, “What makes this place special is that you can see autumn leaves and camellia flowers at the same time. Even in December, you’ll find fallen autumn leaves on one side and blooming camellias on the other. It’s a place where you can feel both fall and winter.” A listener, who moved to Yeosu from Gangwon-do two years ago with her husband, chimed in, saying, “Hearing about Yeosu makes me happy. It’s a quiet and lovely place to live.” Another listener shared memories of Jasan Park, saying, “I often went there for school picnics.” Lee Sang-soon smiled and remarked, “There are so many messages coming in from Yeosu.” Encouraging everyone to visit, he emphasized, “It’s rare to find a place where you can see both fallen leaves and camellia flowers at the same time. I highly recommend checking it out.”

On the previous day, Lee introduced Hummingway Road in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
“The name is unique. At first, I wondered if it had something to do with Hemingway, who wrote The Old Man and the Sea. But it’s not ‘Heming,’ it’s ‘Humming,’” Lee explained. He continued, “The road got its name because people naturally hum a tune as they walk along it. The path is lined with cherry blossom and zelkova trees, offering different views depending on the season. Initially, I thought I’d only walk a little, but I ended up walking much longer, humming as I went.”

Lee Sang-soon debuted as the DJ of “A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon” on November 4th. The following day, his wife, singer Lee Hyori, made a surprise studio visit to support him. Appearing in the “Sharing Tastes” segment, Lee Hyori introduced herself humorously: “It’s been a while since I said hello. I’m Lee Hyori, the wife of ‘A Perfect Day’ host Lee Sang-soon. I came here today to congratulate my husband on his new role.”
The show even switched to a live video stream for the occasion. When Lee Sang-soon announced, “We’ve prepared a special ‘Visible Radio’ for today,” Lee Hyori quipped, “I should’ve gone to the salon beforehand. Still, I quickly bought mascara before the show.” Lee Sang-soon playfully added, “Not only did she do her makeup, but she even washed her hair. When we wash our hair, we always ask each other, ‘Why did you wash it?’”
Lee Hyori chimed in, laughing, “Washing my hair is a big event. I washed up and prepared myself for this. In Jeju, since we don’t meet people often, washing my hair every three days was enough.”
Married in 2013, the couple recently marked their 11th wedding anniversary. After years of living in Jeju, they moved to Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
