Actress Lee Si-young Shares Photos from Her Son’s School Performance
On December 11, actress Lee Si-young took to her social media account to share several photos and videos from her son’s school performance. Expressing her affection for her child, she wrote captions such as, “I can see him shaking from nervousness, even if no one else does.”
The photos show her son confidently playing his instrument on stage despite the large audience. Like any proud parent, Lee captured the moment but later added, “Next year, I’ll bring a bouquet of flowers. Seeing the other moms and dads, I suddenly felt guilty.”
Lee Si-young’s son is reportedly attending Chadwick International School in Songdo, Incheon. Known for its competitive admissions process, the school is popular for allowing students to commute from Seoul and admitting Korean nationals without requiring overseas residency. Offering education from kindergarten to high school, the school’s full course costs approximately 600 million KRW (around $450,000). Specifically, annual tuition fees for kindergarten and elementary students are 26 million KRW, and additional costs such as registration, annual bus fees, and capital development fees raise the total to 36 million KRW per year.
Completing the entire K-12 education at Chadwick would amount to a staggering 640 million KRW, earning it the nickname "aristocratic school." To support her son’s schooling, Lee Si-young recently relocated from Samseong-dong to Songdo.
Lee Si-young married Cho Seung-hyun, a restaurateur, in 2017. Known as the “Little Baek Jong-won,” Cho’s restaurant business reportedly generates an annual revenue of about 2.5 billion KRW.
