JYP, Father of Two Young Daughters, Delivers Heartwarming 'Christmas Gift' for Underprivileged Children That Will Leave You in Awe

Singer and producer J.Y. Park(JYP) has once again extended his generosity, donating 1 billion KRW (approximately 700,000 USD) to support medical expenses for children in need.

On December 10, a donation ceremony titled "Support for Medical Expenses for underprivileged Children" was held at the JYP Entertainment headquarters. During the event, Park contributed 1 billion KRW from his personal funds.

"I have two daughters, aged five and four. My concern for children has always been strong," Park shared. "Whenever my daughters fall sick and require a hospital visit, it leaves me feeling heartbroken. Thinking about parents who face financial struggles during such times made me decide to contribute to help with medical expenses." He added, "I hope the medical teams continue to provide excellent care for children in need. I’ll keep working hard to be able to give even more."

The donation will be distributed evenly among five major hospitals in South Korea, with 200 million KRW allocated to each. The funds will be used for treating and rehabilitating children with severe rare diseases and critical conditions.

This is not the first time J.Y. Park has given back. Since 2022, he has donated a total of 3 billion KRW (approximately 2.25 million USD), aiding 276 children across South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. His donations have supported surgeries, treatments, and rehabilitation for children with rare diseases, with contributions including 1 billion KRW in total to Samsung Medical Center and the international relief NGO World Vision.

Last year, Park donated an additional 1 billion KRW to five hospitals in South Korea, aiming to inspire sick children to continue pursuing their dreams despite their health challenges. Beyond financial contributions, Park and JYP Entertainment artists have held annual charity concerts at Samsung Medical Center since 2002, providing emotional support and spreading hope. They also run the "EDM Wish Fulfillment Project," uplifting children emotionally while supporting their aspirations.

Recently, Park organized a charity basketball tournament, where all team entry fees were supplemented with additional donations, with proceeds directed toward covering treatment costs for pediatric patients at a Seoul hospital. Through his ongoing efforts, J.Y. Park continues to lead by example, combining philanthropy and creativity to make a tangible impact on the lives of children worldwide.
