Marry YOU is gaining immense popularity not only domestically but also among global K-drama fans, according to K-Content platform 'KOCOWA' in the Americas. Since its premiere, the drama has consistently ranked No. 1 on daily charts, maintaining a strong position. The show addresses the realistic concerns surrounding marriage and singlehood, presenting them through a delightful storyline and warm emotions, which resonate deeply with viewers.

Marry YOU is a romantic comedy drama about a single civil servant, Jeong Hana (played by Jo Su-min), who, under the government's policy to encourage marriage, is assigned to the "Marriage Promotion Team" and struggles to get Bong Cheol-hee (played by Lee Yi-kyung) married to escape her assignment. Hana, who feels there are more reasons not to marry than to marry, questions the necessity of marriage, even saying, "Rather than why I shouldn't get married, I wonder why I should get married."

On the other hand, Bong Cheol-hee is portrayed as a capable all-rounder, and although the two characters have opposing views on marriage, they begin to grow closer as the story unfolds. The drama’s setting, the "Marriage Promotion Team," is a department created by the government to encourage marriage, and the narrative centers on the various events and conflicts that arise in this process.

The drama uses humor and emotional depth to address societal issues related to marriage and singlehood, drawing viewers in with relatable themes. Famous actors like Goo Jun-hoe, Ji I-su, Woo Hyun, and Ki Mi-ryeo are part of the cast.

Marry YOU is available on OTT platforms and is being streamed in 75 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania. Despite strong overseas popularity, the drama started with a 0.8% viewership rating in South Korea on its first broadcast on the 16th of last month, and as of episode 6, it has reached 1.2%. Although the viewership in Korea is lower compared to overseas reactions, it is steadily increasing each week.

Currently, 63,978 people are participating in the Naver Open Talk, where viewers are sharing various opinions, such as, "It's fun, but it's disappointing that the ratings are low," "I think people are watching it more on Netflix than on TV, which is affecting the ratings," "The drama is so warm and enjoyable," and "It’s gently entertaining and stress-free."

Marry YOU airs every Saturday and Sunday at 7:50 PM.
