Triple Crown at Korea’s Most Prestigious Music Awards: The Girl Group Proving They’re on Top

On the 23rd, Aespa secured three awards during Chapter 2 of the 2024 MAMA Awards, held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. This achievement further solidifies their status as one of K-pop's leading girl groups.

On this day, Aespa was recognized for their performance and choreography by winning the Best Dance Performance Female Group and Best Choreography awards. They further solidified their status by taking home the Best Female Group award, which is given to the top female group showcasing both strong digital performance and global popularity, bringing their total to three trophies.

Aespa is a four-member girl group under SM Entertainment, debuted in 2020, known for their innovative AI concept and exceptional talent. Consisting of members Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning, the group has expanded their global fanbase with consecutive hits such as "Black Mamba," "Next Level," and "Spicy."

During their acceptance speech, the members shared heartfelt gratitude. Winter expressed, “We’ve received so much love this year, and now being awarded Best Female Group is overwhelming. I want to thank our SM family and my fellow Aespa members for all their hard work this year.” Giselle, addressing the audience in Japanese, said, “I’m thrilled to receive such an amazing award. I deeply appreciate and love all of your support,” earning an enthusiastic response from local fans.
